FUTURISTIC SILENCE

Mixtape Roundup by Kish

Remember mixtapes? About 10 years ago, I used to sit infront of the big sound system we had at my house listening to the radio waiting for my favourite songs so I could record them on tape. Then, after spending days of collecting my favourite tunes, I would pick up the cassette, run into my room and dance on my bed while coming up with amazing choerography in the mirror to it for days. Things are a lot easier now. In fact, you don’t even need to bother making your own mixtapes anymore – people do it for you (just in case you didn’t know…).

Here are the best mixtapes going around at the moment, from kids with impeccable taste in music – so HERE is the mixtape roundup!

♫ Evil Nine – VHS Halloween Party Vol. 4 (Free Download)

I wish I had found this in time for Halloween. I went to a Halloween party and dressed up as a vampire. I got drunk and spilled fake blood all over my wallet and phone. There are 4 volumes of Halloween party music, so if you want more, check them out here.

♫ Xinobi – Hello November Mixtape (Free Download)

Xinobi knows music. This is a lovely mix of chilled out tracks, with that summery vibe we all long for in music. It’s fun, keeps you tapping that foot and is fucking nice mix of tunes. Check it.

♫ Zimmer – Gravity | November Mixtape (Free Download)

This mixtape is a little more chilled out than the Xinobi one. It features some really awesome tracks including Talking Heads – Psycho Killer (Drop Out Orchestra Rework) (Special Beach Edit for Pollo Erotico) massive tune alert plus lots of disco vibes to keep you happy.

♫ Tronik Youth – NOV MIX 2011 (Free Download)

If you like disco, than this is the mix for you. Tronik Youth know how to disco – so you can expect a hoard of disco edits, smooth transitions and familiar sounds (keep an ear out for a rededit for Faith Evans – Love Like this – minus Fatman Scoop)
